Christmas Cheese Board

Cheese boards truly come alive at Christmas! In Spain, it’s traditional to enjoy manchego with a drizzle of olive oil, and here in the UK, Two&One has been delighting cheese lovers by pairing British cheeses with our exquisite olive oils.

Lola has introduced this idea to many local cheese makers, who were initially a little hesitant. But once they tasted the results, they were genuinely amazed — and now they’re completely on board. The combination has won them over, and the joy it brings to the festive table is undeniable.

James Grant, renowned cheese specialist, celebrated food writer and owner of N.2 Pound Street Deli, has been a wonderful supporter, sharing his expertise and suggesting numerous inspired pairings. With olive oil on cheese, the Christmas table has never been more elegant — or delicious!

These are some comments from the experts:

“The silky and velvety texture of Two&One Verde Harvest marries really well with our cheese, Saval. It is an amazing combination!”, Robert Savage, Cheesemaker and owner at Caws Teifi Cheese

“Two&One Verde Harvest Olive Oil maximises the creamy chalky texture of Saval cheese, which is heavenly. There is delicacy and nuance in the pairing”, Katherine Dart MW, Founder of Grape & Nectar

“Like chocolate and cheese, olive oil and cheese is an underappreciated and less known pairing that more people should be trying!” Jessica Summers, Cheese and Wine Sommelier and owner at Mouse and Grape, Pinner, London

Method

Select 3-5 cheeses from the selection with varying textures and flavours.

In addition to the Two&One Olive Oil range, add a few complementary flavours and textures, such as grapes, figs, walnuts or pistachios, baguette or sourdough slices and some olives or honey.

To assemble the board, place the cheeses spaced out on a wooden board, add a One Sitting bottle of Verde, Envero and Negra Harvests, and arrange the other accompaniments around the cheeses in small clusters. Guests can drizzle a small amount of olive oil directly on their cheese or serve in small bowls for dipping.
